Cinescope fremont3/20/2023 ![]() ![]() The seating is terrible, creaky, old, decrepit chairs lined up directly behind one another. I’ll admit… once in a blue moon I get the craving to watch a really corny, obnoxious, over the top never would this happen in real life and geez don’t they break into a lot of songs type film. ![]() You’re ever so grungy, and apparently the parking behind the theater now belongs to Kaiser Permanente, so I’m prevented from secretly hiding my car in back where no one may recognize it. I look forward to you re-opening and the improvements. On the plus side, thank you for having a great sound system, online ticket sales and good-enough chairs. Perhaps the ticket receiver could remind patrons before the enter the theater as well? Anyhow, all in all, it’s great to have a place to watch Bollywood movies on the big screen, but just because Naz basically has a monopoly on the Bay Area Bollywood movie theater market does not mean that we should have to deal with poor facilities or poor employee hygiene. I can’t remember if there was a reminder before the movie about this, but there should be… and it should be repeated a few times. Lastly, cell phones… please have your patrons turn them off. I hope when they re-open that the bathroom maintenance is not overlooked… if other places have an hourly bathroom cleaning/maintenance schedule you should too, especially for a theater where the 3 hour movies are going to call for your bathrooms being used. I did not use the restrooms, because I’m picky about restrooms, and from the looks of this place assumed it wouldn’t be clean enough… but that’s my assumption… however from reading other Unilocalers reviews, I’m glad I didn’t. If you really don’t have anywhere else to store these «important» boxes, then at least cover them with a black drop cloth so our eyes are not distracted by them. The boxes which are being stored under the movie screen just makes this place look unprofessional. The seats aren’t like the posh seats I’ve experienced at Hacienda movie theaters, but they are nice enough. ![]() I thought the seats were comfortable and the sound system was great. I don’t know about the food, because I didn’t bother purchasing any. This needs to be addressed, because honestly what a turn-off… people are going to the movies to relax and enjoy - the atmosphere is important. I don’t remember the lobby smelling particularly bad or good… but plug in air-freshners will go a long way… and I’m sure there are other solutions out there which are worth the expense. The smell… various people have mentioned the «stink» in their reviews. I know this is challenging to maintain when there are patrons spilling popcorn or what not constantly, but other movie theaters can keep it clean and I’m confident that you can too. The carpet was messy, and needed to be vacuumed. Cologne is not a substitute for deodorant… please address this with your employees… it matters. I know that everyone’s personal hygiene habits are their own, but when you are in a service industry I think it’s extremely important that you wear deodorant so that your BO is not what I think of when I write a Unilocal review 3 months after my visit. Great job on that Naz! :) On to my criticisms: The guy who was taking our tickets upon entrance needed to wear deodorant. My cousin purchased the tickets online, so I’m not sure what that part of the experience was like… but I’m glad the possibility of purchasing tickets ahead of time online exists. Since they are closed, and per their website will be reopening, I am going to take the time to post a review, in hopes that the Naz 8 owners read this review and take some of my notes into accounts to improve their service. I just went to Naz 8 for the first time in December to watch 3 Idiots and really enjoyed the movie. WHHHHHATTT? Seriously, I thought I was looking up the wrong cinema when I went onto their website and saw that it was closed. ![]()
